Summer Sun

Hello my loves!

I know you have all been waiting SO patiently for a new post.  Thank you!!! Let me tell you, studying for the Bar Exam has seriously become my whole life.  I definitely wish I could be shooting new looks and writing posts for you...but I just gotta get that monster out of the way first!  Thanks for understanding! Without further ado...

Anyways, this is the first casual look I've shot for the blog...mostly because when I dress casually I keep it really simple.  So in fair warning, this is not the most innovative outfit haha.  In this look, I'm wearing my typical summer staples--destroyed denim shorts, a simple fitted tank, a cute kimono to amp up the look, and a stack of layered necklaces.  Funny story...my kimono fringe kept getting caught in the bushes and so I was trapped for a bit after these shots...haha

My shorts are from Forever 21, my tank is from H&M, and my lace kimono is from a local boutique but here's a similar one.  My diamond necklace is custom made (a gift from my boyfriend), my second necklace is the Tiffany Smile necklace (an amazing graduation gift from my little sister!), and my third necklace is the Gorjana Woodburn Lariat necklace, c/o Rocksbox.

I'm wearing my usual makeup staples (liner, lashes, brows, foundation and blush), but on my lips I'm wearing Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic.  I picked this up on a whim and love it!  It's low maintenance, feels like chapstick and just gives you that wash of color that's perfect for summer.

I hope you are all having lovely summers full of sunshine, ocean, and rooftop cocktails.  Enjoy one for me while I keep studying ;)  Let me know how you're doing via Twitter or Instagram!  I love hearing from y'all!

Light & Bright

Hi Loves!

I'm so sorry for my absence!  I trust that you've all been amazing!  I graduated law school this last week so things have been a little crazy around here at LGB. I finally got the chance this past weekend to spend time with my sister, and we shot this fun early summer look.  Enjoy!

Outfit:

I'm wearing a romper from TobiDolce Vita Jodie wedges in Beige, and I'm carrying a Rebecca Minkoff Amorous satchel in Seashell.  I'm also wearing a Gorjana cuff, courtesy of Rocksbox (use my code hellolittlegoldbookxoxo for a free month!), a vintage watch, the Tiffany Twist ring from Tiffany & Co., the Olive Leaf band ring from Tiffany & Co, a ring from Etsy, and a custom dainty diamond pendant.

I used to hate wearing pink, but this season I've developed an obsession with nude pink, so be forewarned that you may see a lot of it on the blog!  If you're a new shopper to Tobi, use this link to get 50% off your entire order!

Makeup:

1.  I prepped my eyes using Urban Decay Primer Potion so that my eyeshadow would apply evenly. Then I used the Anastasia Tamanna Palette, which sadly is no longer available.  You can try the Maya Mia palette for a similar look.  I lined my eyes with Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper.  I added Ardell Demi Wispie lashes.

2. I filled in my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Medium Brow. I cleaned up the line using Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard.

3. Next, I applied Estee Lauder's Illuminating Primer all over my skin.  I used Nars Sheer Glowfoundation in Santa Fe to even out my skin tone.  I love this foundation because it leaves a lot of radiance in your skin so you don't look like you're wearing makeup! I used the same Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer from earlier under my eyes to add some light to my face. I set my foundation with Sephora's Baked Powder.

4. Then, I added dimension back into my face using Anastasia's Contour Palette, by applying "Fawn" into the hollows of my cheeks, along my jawline, on my temples, and down the sides of my nose.  I added a little bit of blush to the apples of my cheeks using Nars Blush in Orgasm, as usual.

5. Finally, I swiped some Nars velvet matte lipstick in Catfight on my lips for a pinky-nude pout.

What are your plans this summer?  I'll be studying for the California Bar...eeek!!! So you have to have some fun for me!  Let me know what you're up to and share some looks with me :)

Spring Fling

Hi Loves,

This past weekend it truly felt like spring in Orange County! We had April showers (not my favorite but I know we need it for the drought!) and May flowers came early...it's officially peony season!!! I was super inspired seeing my favorite blooms, so I pulled together a bohemian outfit and soft pink makeup look for brunch on Saturday.

Outfit:

I'm wearing a tiered lace maxi skirt from Urban Outfitters.  It's no longer available, but here's a similar one.  I paired it with a simple sheer loose tank, which I knotted off to define my waist a bit more. It's from Madewell.  Underneath (which you can't really see in this picture) I layered a mint green lace bralette from Forever 21.  The necklaces I'm wearing are 1) the "key to success" necklace from Dogeared, and 2) a custom diamond pendant that was a gift.

Makeup:

1.  First, I prepped my eyes using Urban Decay Primer Potion so that my eyeshadow would apply evenly. Then I used the MAC "Nordstrom Neutrals" palette to create my eye look.  I used "Hey", "Warm Breeze" "Honey Lust" "Ginger Snap" and "Dark Brew".  I lined my eyes with Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper.  I added Ardell Demi Wispie lashes...which didn't go on as perfect as I like, but hey, life isn't perfect!

2. Then, I filled in my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Medium Brow. I cleaned up the line using Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard. I set my brows with Anastasia's Clear Brow Gel.

3. Next, I applied Estee Lauder's Illuminating Primer all over my skin.  I used Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Santa Fe to even out my skin tone.

I added a little bit of blush to the apples of my cheeks using Nars Blush in Orgasm.  This is my go-to everyday color.  It looks good on absolutely everyone!

5. Finally, I swiped some Dior Addict Lip Glow in Sheer Pink on my lips.  It's super hydrating, has SPF 15, and the color adjusts to bring out the natural colors unique to your pout! How cool is that?

I hope everyone's having a gorgeous weekend! As always, I love to hear from you so reach out to me if you have any questions about my look, or even if you just want to chat!

stay gold,

Tiffany

P.S.  If you didn't see on my instagram already--I was able to score y'all a free month at Rocksbox!
