Hair Goals with Irresistible Me

Hi loves!

So much has happened in the past two months! I missed you all a bunch while I was on hiatus. I'm writing a huge post about my cross-country move to share with you soon!  It's pretty emotional and there's a lot I want to cover so I'm working on it :)

In the meantime, I thought I'd share a more lighthearted beauty post with y'all!  I've been wearing clip-in, real human hair extensions from Irresistible Me for the past month.  I love the amazing volume and length they provide! Plus they are helping me stay warm in the cooler East Coast weather haha!

My hair came in the cutest packaging and when it arrived, there was SO much! I am still learning to do braids with them in, so I can't wait to do a tutorial for you.  I chose a 24" length and a 200gram set, the longest, thickest set possible.  I recommend doing this if you already have long hair like me, because you can always cut your extensions if they are too long for how you want to wear them.  But for braids and major glam, longer and thicker is the way to go!  This helpful chart shows how long they will be on you:

The customer service is super helpful in letting you choose the right color, and exchanges are pretty easy.  Though their color selection is a bit limited, you can do what I did and have your extensions custom colored by your stylist.  I knew I would have to do this because I have baylayage in my hair, and no clip in set would ever match perfectly.  Mine held up well after coloring and I love the way they look!

Overall, I think clip in extensions are great for days you want to feel extra glam, or when you need some more bulk for certain styles.  I found that Irresistible Me's extensions to be a good value compared to some of the other options out there, and the customer service was great! Do you have any questions about wearing clip ins? Have you worn them before? How would you like to see me style these in the next post?

It feels good to be back.  Thanks for sticking with me! I love you <3

Light & Bright

Hi Loves!

I'm so sorry for my absence!  I trust that you've all been amazing!  I graduated law school this last week so things have been a little crazy around here at LGB. I finally got the chance this past weekend to spend time with my sister, and we shot this fun early summer look.  Enjoy!

Outfit:

I'm wearing a romper from TobiDolce Vita Jodie wedges in Beige, and I'm carrying a Rebecca Minkoff Amorous satchel in Seashell.  I'm also wearing a Gorjana cuff, courtesy of Rocksbox (use my code hellolittlegoldbookxoxo for a free month!), a vintage watch, the Tiffany Twist ring from Tiffany & Co., the Olive Leaf band ring from Tiffany & Co, a ring from Etsy, and a custom dainty diamond pendant.

I used to hate wearing pink, but this season I've developed an obsession with nude pink, so be forewarned that you may see a lot of it on the blog!  If you're a new shopper to Tobi, use this link to get 50% off your entire order!

Makeup:

1.  I prepped my eyes using Urban Decay Primer Potion so that my eyeshadow would apply evenly. Then I used the Anastasia Tamanna Palette, which sadly is no longer available.  You can try the Maya Mia palette for a similar look.  I lined my eyes with Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper.  I added Ardell Demi Wispie lashes.

2. I filled in my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Medium Brow. I cleaned up the line using Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard.

3. Next, I applied Estee Lauder's Illuminating Primer all over my skin.  I used Nars Sheer Glowfoundation in Santa Fe to even out my skin tone.  I love this foundation because it leaves a lot of radiance in your skin so you don't look like you're wearing makeup! I used the same Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer from earlier under my eyes to add some light to my face. I set my foundation with Sephora's Baked Powder.

4. Then, I added dimension back into my face using Anastasia's Contour Palette, by applying "Fawn" into the hollows of my cheeks, along my jawline, on my temples, and down the sides of my nose.  I added a little bit of blush to the apples of my cheeks using Nars Blush in Orgasm, as usual.

5. Finally, I swiped some Nars velvet matte lipstick in Catfight on my lips for a pinky-nude pout.

What are your plans this summer?  I'll be studying for the California Bar...eeek!!! So you have to have some fun for me!  Let me know what you're up to and share some looks with me :)
