I'm currently in the land of golf & palm trees...West Palm Beach, Florida! I'm here on a business trip with my law firm and learning so much. SUPER cool that they decided to send me! I packed for my trip super last minute, but wanted to share some packing tips with y'all :)
1. Pack neutral colors that can be mixed & matched!
As you can see, I packed mostly black, grey, and nude pink. That way, I can maximize my outfits and take things from day to night in snap! Keep it simple & classic.
2. Minimize the shoes!
This is a toughie for me, because I'm a shoe-a-holic. I brought one comfortable pair of black pointed toe leather pumps, wore gold loafers on the plane, and bought my Nikes so that I don't miss my morning workout!
3. Bring a blazer AND wear a blazer!
I packed my black suit blazer, which I'll wear with my grey dress and over another black dress. I wore a navy blazer, which I brought for traveling, and for daytime and more casual events. I'm going to match that one with skinny pants and the plethora of silk blouses I brought.
4. Silk/Chiffon blouses are your BFF!
Silk blouses are easy to pack and take up barely any space in your luggage. Roll them up to save even more space. Bring a few because they can be dressed up or down, and you want to have a backup if you spill coffee everywhere, like I usually do ;)
5. Accessories & light cologne are a must!
Being dressed for business can be a little bit boring, but everyone knows I love some sparkle. I brought my favorite watch, some earrings, and a statement necklace that goes with every outfit I packed. And of course, I always bring my Jo Malone cologne with me, because I never feel like myself unless I'm wearing it. The scent is subtle, light & elegant.
What are you favorite things to pack when you're traveling for business? Did I miss something? Share with me! Let's become jetsetters together.
