Fall-ing for the East Coast

Hi Y'all!!!

I am loving my move to the East Coast! There's so much history here and everything is just so different. I'm in love with the fall weather, all the trees, my new apartment (which is still pretty unfurnished LOL)...It feels so amazing to know that I made a commitment to chasing my dreams and finally I'm where I want to be!

This past weekend I walked around Old Town Alexandria, which is so charming.  It's full of gorgeous row houses, tiny shops, and yummy places to brunch!  I stopped on a lot of strangers' steps and pretended like their house was mine ;)

Outfit Details:

Hat: PopSugar T-Shirt: J.Crew  Cardigan: Zara Jeans: Joe's Jeans Booties: Madewell

Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Necklace: Tiffany & Co Bangle: Banana Republic

I kept it casual with some jeans, ankle booties, a t-shirt, drape cardigan and a wool hat from my September PopSugar must have box.  Everything I'm wearing is older (moving leaves little in the budget for shopping haha) but I've linked the same or similar items above.

How is your fall so far? Have you been out to the D.C. area? If you're here, get in touch with me! We should meet up...I need a tour guide!!! What do you want to know about my move and my new life on the east coast? If you ask, i'll tell :)

Hair Goals with Irresistible Me

Hi loves!

So much has happened in the past two months! I missed you all a bunch while I was on hiatus. I'm writing a huge post about my cross-country move to share with you soon!  It's pretty emotional and there's a lot I want to cover so I'm working on it :)

In the meantime, I thought I'd share a more lighthearted beauty post with y'all!  I've been wearing clip-in, real human hair extensions from Irresistible Me for the past month.  I love the amazing volume and length they provide! Plus they are helping me stay warm in the cooler East Coast weather haha!

My hair came in the cutest packaging and when it arrived, there was SO much! I am still learning to do braids with them in, so I can't wait to do a tutorial for you.  I chose a 24" length and a 200gram set, the longest, thickest set possible.  I recommend doing this if you already have long hair like me, because you can always cut your extensions if they are too long for how you want to wear them.  But for braids and major glam, longer and thicker is the way to go!  This helpful chart shows how long they will be on you:

The customer service is super helpful in letting you choose the right color, and exchanges are pretty easy.  Though their color selection is a bit limited, you can do what I did and have your extensions custom colored by your stylist.  I knew I would have to do this because I have baylayage in my hair, and no clip in set would ever match perfectly.  Mine held up well after coloring and I love the way they look!

Overall, I think clip in extensions are great for days you want to feel extra glam, or when you need some more bulk for certain styles.  I found that Irresistible Me's extensions to be a good value compared to some of the other options out there, and the customer service was great! Do you have any questions about wearing clip ins? Have you worn them before? How would you like to see me style these in the next post?

It feels good to be back.  Thanks for sticking with me! I love you <3

That Pink Wall

Hi Babes!

I CANNOT believe how long it's been since I've posted :X Life just gets away from you sometimes!

This past week I trekked up to Melrose for an InStyle party, and I just had to stop by that pink wall to snap some pics of my outfit! My pictures are super blurry cause my camera lens was dirty...oops! Hope you still get the idea ;) It's like I'm going for the 90s glamour shot look...

Dress: Aqua (no longer available, but similar here, here, and here) Sandals: Primark (similar here, here, and here) Crossbody bag: Louis Vuitton Santa Monica Clutch in Dune (affordable here, also loveNecklace: Tiffany & Co Smile Pendant in 18K Gold (affordable here and here)

I love to wear stripes in the summer!  The dress' fit & flare cut is very flattering on my body type, and the stretchy scuba material keeps me comfy even after too many ice creams :D

I love and miss you guys all the time, even when I'm too busy at work to blog! Follow me on instagram for more regular updates! I seriously can't believe it's August already....How are you celebrating the end of summer?
