Follow me on Instagram!

Hi loves,

I'm sure you've noticed that I haven't written a long form blog post in over a year.  Due to the demands of my big law job, it's really hard to write longer posts.  Please keep up with me on instagram, where I post regularly and try to check in everyday on my stories.

Thank you so much for your support throughout the last few years!  I hope to bring back my long form blog posts soon, maybe with a focus on substantive, career related posts.  Let me know what you would like to see!

Thank again--love and miss you all!

Sparkling 4th of July with Bai

Hi Everyone!

I'm SO EXCITED for the 4th of July weekend.  It's such a festive holiday, full of sunshine, friends, and fireworks.  Today I'm sharing a special cocktail recipe with you, featuring my current obsession: Bai Bubbles!

If you haven't heard, Bai drinks are full of flavor and antioxidants, but only contain 5 calories each.  This makes them perfect as a cocktail mixer, because if I'm going to consume my daily intake in vodka calories, my mixer shouldn't add more right? And it may as well contain antioxidants to help detoxify me ;) That's my idea of balance anyways!

Strawberries & Cream Coconut Soda

Ingredients

  • 4 cans of Bai Bubbles Waikiki Coconut
  • 2 cups of fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • For the 4th, Add 1 cup of fresh blueberries for festivity
  • 8 oz of whipped cream flavored vodka

Directions

  1. Place 2 cups of fresh sliced strawberries (and blueberries if using) into a large pitcher of ice.
  2. Pour Waikiki Coconut Bai Bubbles and whipped cream vodka into pitcher and stir gently.
  3. Serve in your favorite glass and garnish with extra strawberries.

Bai is providing a special coupon for my readers only. SAVE $1.00 ON THREE (3) BAI PRODUCTS (11.5oz, 18oz or 28.4oz) UNTIL 7/31/2016. Click here to print the coupon and use it anywhere that Bai is sold: http://bricks.coupons.com/Bstart.asp?o=128597&c=BW&p=ylUXuKHz

Currently, Bai bubbles are 3 for $5 at Target and Ralph's so you can get them 3 for $4 with the coupon!  It's the perfect time to try them if you've been thinking about it.  I can't wait to hear what you think!

Lunar New Year with Sugarfina

Sugarfina boutiques are perfectly decorated and a treat to visit :)

Sugarfina boutiques are perfectly decorated and a treat to visit :)

It's a week of celebrations loves!  February 9th is Lunar New Year and I love celebrating all the traditions with my family.  This year, I added a new tradition with gilded chocolates from Sugarfina!  Sugarfina offers sophisticated candies for adults.  For the New Year, they're offering special two piece bento boxes with a traditional Chinese New Year greeting!  Though my family is Vietnamese, I was so excited to be able to share these delicious candies with them...Chocolate is a universal language!

In Chinese tradition, there are ten signs in the zodiac.  This year, it's the year of the Monkey! My boyfriend is a monkey, so this year honors him.  However, legend says that when it's your year, you have to lay low to show respect to the newborn animal of that year.  We'll be keeping a low profile :)  I got some sweets for him too while I was shopping at Sugarfina.  They have locations all over and I highly recommend visiting so you can really get the full experience.  It's a super cute store and there are endless options!

One of my other favorite traditions is lucky money envelopes.  Traditionally, they are red, but every year I love picking out new ones to give.  This year I chose gilded ones to give out.  Do you celebrate lunar new year?  If so, what traditions does your family have?  Wishing you and your loved ones a year of happiness, prosperity and good fortune!
